Hanover Timbits Mites Team Plays at Hockey Day
Submitted By E.Bohnert on Tuesday, January 13, 2009
Hockey Day in Hanover started with the first game at 7am. This very early game was the Hanover mites team versus Mount Forest. We really appreciate the parents and team members from Mount Forest getting up so early in the morning to come to Hanover for a fun filled game. Our home team was wearing their red jerseys and the Mount Forest team was wearing their forest green jerseys.
The game started with each team briefly lined up at centre ice and then they flew to the benches except for the starting line up. The action was fast paced with goals scored and shots blocked by both teams in the first three minutes. There was a definite improvement from our first game, as team members skated with the puck, passed to each other and took shots on the net. This game showed what hockey is truly meant to be and it was well worth the early wake up call. I highly recommend to anyone looking for a good game of hockey to watch, to come out to one of the Hanover mites hockey games. Our games are all listed on our website at www.hanoverminorhockey.ca. Our next two home games will be Saturday January 17 at 10am (versus Ayton) and Saturday January 31 at 9am (versus Durham). Come cheer on Hanover’s newest hockey players.
