The Hanover Falcons McDonald's Novice Rep team took to the ice for the second time this past weekend, on Sunday, November 9th.
Facing off against the Shallow Lake Lakers,
Hanover's boys, lead by team Captain Travis Campbell, played to win. And win they did by a
margin of six to one.
With no goals on the board after the first period, scoring was opened up in the second by
'T-man' Tyler Frieburger, his first of the season, with a pass from Shaymus Finlay and 'The
Sarge', Devon Sargeant. Hanover's scoring continued with an unassisted goal by none other
than team captain Travis Campbell. The Lakers responded with a goal of their own.
Period number three saw four more Hanover goals. A very determined Tyson Lina grabbed
his first goal, with assistance from Dylan Campbell and 'The Wall' Nathan Ahrens. Adding to
the margin were Daven 'Wheels' Rourke and again Travis Campbell, his 7th in four games.
Third period assists go to 'T-man' Tyler Freiburger, 'The Sarge' and Matthew 'Olly'
Oelschlagel. Hanover's final goal of the game was scored on a breakaway from end to end by
defenceman Jacob Mattingly. A nice wrist shot into the top corner gave Jacob his first goal of
the season.
The Hanover Falcons McDonald's Novice Rep Falcons face off next against a very strong and
undefeated Durham team, in Durham on Saturday, November 15th at 2pm.
