McDonalds Squad Goes One and One
Submitted By a.sargeant on Friday, November 21, 2008
On Saturday, November 15th, the Hanover McDonalds Novice Rep Falcons turned in their first loss of the season to the Durham Huskies.
It was a hard fought battle for puck possession
and end zone domination, but in the end the Huskies prevailed with a 2 to 1 victory.
Hanover's points getters for the game were Daven 'Wheels' Rourke with his sixth goal of the
season and Dawson 'Happy' Fahrer with the assist.
These young athletes from Hanover saw more action on Wednesday, November 19th with a
home game against a visiting Normanby team. The Falcons put four goals on the board in the
first, scored by Lucas Dietz, 'Happy' Fahrer and a pair from 'Wheels' Rourke. Period two saw
a goal a piece, with Hanover's ringer coming from Dylan Campbell. Hanover added three
more in the third as 'The Wall' Nathan Ahrens grabbed his first goal of the season. Shaymus
Finlay and 'Cappy' Travis Campbell added a goal apiece to the final score of 8 to 2. Hanover's
'set-up' men for the game were Shaymus Finlay, Devon 'Sarge' Sargeant, 'Wheels' Rourke,
'The Sheriff' Tyson Lina, and 'Cappy' Campbell, each with an assist.
Although the score may not show it, the Normanby team put forth a valiant effort with
applause going to their frontline, their pointmen, and a standing ovation to their goaltender.
