Falcons back on their game!

The Hanover L.L. Falcons bounced back from their first defeat earlier in the week to demonstrate their exceptional teamwork and take home the win against the Mount Forest Rams.
With Coach Chris back from holidays and once again on the bench, the Falcons showed their true colours by putting the pressure on early. Mount Forest managed to slip the puck past the defense a couple of times, but those quick, hard shots were easily handled by vetern goalie Caden Prues. Cam Rourke assisted Adam Knoll in opening the scoring for Hanover at 5:46 of the first period. Mount Forest turned up the pressure, but was kept out of the Hanover zone by Nathan Oelschlagel and Dawson Gilkenson. The first minute of the second period started with Adam Knoll, Keifer Teeple and Ryan Colquhoun peppering the Mount Forest goalie with no success. However, at 8:32, Christian Vandepoll fed the puck to Dale Leroux who flipped the puck high into the Mount Forest net. Then only 15 seconds later, Leroux got his second of the game, assisted this time by Blake Walters. Mount Forest moved into defensive mode, only testing Prues with one shot which was stopped easily. The third period began like the second, with lots of shots on the Mount Forest end. As the period went on, Luke Breen and Brody Weber held the blue line and shut down the shooters when Mount Forest turned up the pressure on the Falcons. At 2:01 of the third, Leroux got the hat trick, assisted again by Walters and Vandepoll. Final score 4-0. Way to go everyone!
