The re-match belongs to the Falcons!
Submitted By Tawnya Schlosser on Sunday, February 28, 2010
The Hanover L.L. Falcons met up with the Walkerton Capitals #3 for a re-match at the Ayton Arena.  The Falcons were still smarting from their defeat on Wednesday night, but were determined to redeem themselves.

Hanover jumped out to the early lead when Cam Rourke fed a pass to Dale Leroux who scored only 23 seconds into the first period.  That was all the incentive the Falcons needed to press on and make the game their own.  Luke Breen and Brody Weber kept the Hanover zone clear, resulting in absolutely no pressure for netminder Caden Prues at all.  Then at 4:17, Leroux put another shot low between the goalie's legs to make it 2-0 for Hanover.  That goal was assisted by Ryan Colquhoun.  The second period opened with Rourke, Leroux and Keifer Teeple pushing hard, but with no change on the scoreboard.  Walkerton managed to get around the Hanover defense a couple of times and challenge Prues on the breakaway, but he handled all shots with ease and continued the shutout.  In the third period, Olivia Schlosser, Adam Knoll and Blake Walters made it challenging for the Walkerton defense.  With Nathan Oelschlagel and Dawson Gilkenson working hard against a frustrated and hard-pressing Walkerton offense, Hanover pushed back and shut down all the challenges.  Final score: 2-0.  Way to play as a team everyone!
