The Hanover Canadian Tire Atoms played two games to end November, and came away with 1 win and 1 loss, and a good effort from all the kids.
On November 29th they faced a good Lucknow team, and even though they did everything right, they couldn't secure the win. Goals for Hanover scored by Kyler Knoll and Luke Dietz, with assists going to Brook Bross, Hunter Sargeant and Knoll. Hanover's Andrew Price also scored a great goal, but it wasn't counted due to the net being off the post - too bad! The final score was a close 3-2 for Lucknow. Aaron Price did a good job in net, stopping many Lucknow chances.
The following night, Hanover travelled to Tiverton and were rewarded this time with a win. Shaymus Finlay was in net for Hanover, and got his 2nd shutout of the season, with a final score of 3-0. Hanover goal scorers were Devon Sargeant (2) and Knoll. Also helping Hanover during these two games with good defensive play was Maria Scales, Matthew Oelschlagel and Nathan Oelschlagel. Good play up front from Daven Rourke and Cole Mitchell as well. The coaches saw lots of great passing and team play. The Atoms look forward to Saturday when they will be entering a float in the Hanover parade. Let's hope for snow!
