Hanover Pee wee s gear up for the ALF LOCKRIDGE DIVISION championship
Submitted By Tammy Price on Wednesday, March 17, 2010
Hanover starts the championship round

Hanover would travel to Wiarton for their first match up of the  series.  This round robin would see home and away games against Mt forest and Bruce Peninsula for the championship.

March 13 @ 3:00 in Wiarton
Hanover would play and exceptional game scoring first, but Bruce Peninsula would come back with two unanswered goals to take the win.

March 16 @8:00 in Ayton
Hanover would  meet Mt forest for the first time since their match up in a tournament in Minto that went terribly wrong.  This match up would have a very different outcome. Hanover had something to prove and they set out early to do it.  A score of 2-0 for Hanover would take them into the 3rd period.  With dying seconds Mt forest would pull the goalie but Hanover would have an answer scoring on  an empty netter to take the win 3-0.

  March 23 @6:30 in Ayton
Hanover would meet Bruce peninsula for what was sure to be a good game.  Every match up this season has been decided by one goal.  this game however would not have such a good outcome.  Hanover scored first and things looked good, but the wheels went flat from there.  Bruce Peninsula would win 7-2 this night and leave Hanover's crowd stunned at the loss.

March 28 @ 8:00 in Mt Forest
with much anxiety over the last match up, Hanover would travel to mt forest for the deciding game in the Alf Lockridge championship.  Hanover had nothing to loose and would come out of the gates pumped.  Mount forest would take the lead 2-0 early but Hanover wasn't going to take it laying down.  In the third Hanover would tie the game at 2-2 and would sent it into overtime.  Mt forest would poke one in to take the win 4 minutes into overtime.
Hanover would be disappointed by the loss but would have nothing to be ashamed of.  This team has accomplished a lot this year and was capable of so much.  We as parents are very proud of them all and win or lose, the pee wee rep boys have showed true sportsmanship and have grown a lot this season.  enjoy your time off and we'll see you next season.
