Notice: "For All Players Born in 2009"
Submitted By klesauvage on Wed 08 31, 16
Players born in
2009, according to Hockey Canada, and the OMHA, are to be registered in the
Initiation Program (IP - Tyke). The Novice Division is a one year program, for
players born in 2008 or later. Dependent on numbers and each player's ability,
some 2009 born players will be invited to play with our 2008 Novice teams. All
2009 players are invited to attend the Novice warm up skate.
Some of those players MAY then be invited to attend the Novice Rep tryouts, some of those players may be invited to play Novice Local League, and some of those players may remain in the IP program. The evaluation and placement of the players will be a Hanover Minor Hockey board decision and will be based on proven development models, along with registration numbers. All players invited to attend the Novice Rep tryouts or to play Novice Local League will then be required to pay the difference in the registration fees between IP and Novice prior to the Novice Rep tryouts.
If you are interested in your child attending the Novice warm up skate, please ensure you have registered with Hanover Minor Hockey and contact Nick Abell at [email protected] to confirm your attendance.
Warm up Skates are Sept 6 and 7 at 5:00
All players interested in the IP program are welcome to attend the IP Program informational meeting on Saturday, Sept 10 at 1:00 PM in the Lions Den at the P+H Centre.
First ice time for IP is Saturday, September 17.
Yours in Hockey,
Dan Bailey,
