January 26 Clifford in Hanover

On January 26th, 2008, the Hanover Tyke 1 Falcons played Clifford at the Hanover Coliseum. The team was prepared for a hard and fast game.
Unfortunately Clifford was short players so 4 Hanover players suited up in Clifford jerseys and became the opponents of their own team. Team players Joshua Lorenz, Kiera Walden, Tyson Lina and Kyle Roulston showed fantastic sportsmanship as they played for the Clifford team. Playing for Hanover, Nathan Ahrens worked very hard in net. The puck was in the Hanover defensive end much of the game and Nathan made some great saves. Mackenzie Breckell, along with the other defence players skilfully challenged the opposition in the defence zone. Jack Wells took some hard shots on the Clifford goalie and had some great breakaways. He managed to score one goal for the team unassisted. Caden Prues showed impressive stick handling ability during the game. The final score of the game was a 15-1 loss for Hanover. Despite the loss the team worked extremely hard on the ice and showed great sportsmanship. Great job team!
