Game 6 vs West Grey - by Sara Cook
Submitted By Michelle Downey on Sunday, November 15, 2015
After a tough loss against Shallow Lake, the coaching staff lead by Dave Bryant decided to make a change on the bench - moving current centre Myatt back to defence. With Myatt being such a versatile player it allowed Bryant to make what was once a strong group of defence virtually impenetrable.

During the first period the boys proved that a loss was not in the cards for this game.  With little to lose, Bryant took a shot right off the face off scoring the first goal. With relentless pressure and lots of shots Bohnet finally capitalized on a rebound to get the Falcons another goal. Not wasting anytime getting to know his new linemate, Breen made a pass to Cook who scored increasing the gap that West Grey would need to close.

In the second period the defensive plays by Pierik and Price left the Falcons still leading by three and Embro still working to gain himself another shut out. With little standing in their way, the boys let up allowing West Grey to finally score.  Minutes later Turnbull then made a nice pass off the boards to Myatt who scored once again regaining the three goal lead.

The third period soon became as stimulating as the first. Bryant once again repeated what was done  to get goal five of the game. West Grey not giving up though fired back and put another on the board.  With Myatt now on defence he took this opportunity to show what he can do. After picking up a loose puck at his own blue line, he went down the ice on  a two on one and scored the final goal of the game, proving that he is as much of a threat in his new role as he was in his last.

Way to go boys.
